Content Writing Internship (English)

THE JOB

As part of the Botanopia Marketing team, your role is to develop inspiring written content for our website and social media.

*The exact start date and duration period of the internship is flexible, ideally lasting around 6 months.*

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING DURING YOUR INTERNSHIP?

      • Research & write new content & re-purpose existing content for blog posts, newsletters, and social media posts, as well as scripts for new tutorials/videos.
      • Optimize our website for organic traffic (Search Engine Optimisation). You identify relevant keywords, and write informative content to answer questions related to the keyword.
      • Assist the development of marketing campaigns.
      • Write copy for promotional material and sales guides for our resellers.
      • Engage with our social media community.
        Accompany us on international trade shows (depending on the corona situation of course…)

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

You study marketing, journalism, communication or similar related fields, at a minimum on a Bachelor level. You’re fluent in English (spoken and written). Dutch, French or German as an extra language is a very big plus.

You’re a digital native, with a good understanding of online shopping and social media. Writing comes naturally to you, you like to play with words, and get people’s attention through your texts.

You’re flexible, can get things done and can take initiative. You are independent, committed, and ready to put your theoretical knowledge from your studies into action for real customers. Bonus if you have an affinity with plants and DIY projects.

Our small team is working in one big office space. There is always a team member to help you and to give you the requested guidance. Our plants-filled office is located on the west side of Amsterdam, with a view on the garden. We’re an international bunch, with Dutch, English, and French spoken at the office.

You will receive an internship fee of 300€/month. In addition, you will receive 10 vacation days over a 6 month period.

Product/Graphic Design intern

THE JOB

As part of the Botanopia Design team, your role is to assist in the creation of new products, as well as improving existing products and packaging. From brainstorming to prototyping, to researching suppliers and developing instruction manuals, you’ll work on the entire process for new products. As an intern at the studio, you will get to experience the entire range of operations from the first idea to the final product on store shelves.

*The exact start date and duration period of the internship is flexible, ideally lasting around 6 months.*

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING DURING YOUR INTERNSHIP?

      • Researching new products based on new trends, gap in the market, or customer feedback
      • Prototyping and form study in a variety of materials, mostly analog, sometimes in 3D software. Creating technical drawings to communicate with factories.
      • Packaging design and product photography
      • Creating instruction manuals, in print or in video
      • The business side of running a small design studio, pricing of products, setting up quotes and invoices, pitching products to manufacturers, wholesale accounts and more

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

You study product design and/or graphic design at a minimum on a Bachelor level.

You’re a digital native, with a good understanding of the Adobe software package. You’re a natural tinkerer and you’re not afraid of a few power tools to create prototypes. You have a good eye for fonts and colors, and an affinity for the aesthetics of the current Botanopia collection.

You’re flexible, can get things done and can take initiative. You are independent, committed, and ready to put your theoretical knowledge from your studies into action for real customers. Bonus if you have an affinity with plants and DIY projects.

THE JOB

As part of the Botanopia Marketing & Sales team, your role is to develop our reach. Our clients are both retail customers, and B2B (independent store owners).

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING DURING YOUR INTERNSHIP?

  • Optimize our website for visitors.
  • Create new content & adapt existing content for our audience.
  • Assist the development of marketing campaigns.
  • Develop promotional material and sales guides for our resellers.
  • Support daily operations & identify new leads.
  • Engage with our social media community.
  • Accompany us on international trade shows 

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Sales Internship (English + 1 more language: FR, NL or DE)

THE JOB

As part of the Botanopia Marketing & Sales team, your role is to expand our customer base while giving nothing but the best service to our existing customers. Our clients are both retail customers, and B2B (independent store owners).

The exact start date and duration period of the internship are flexible, ideally lasting around 6 months. We’re looking for native speakers with excellent verbal and written skills in at least 2 of the following languages: English, Dutch, German, and French.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING DURING YOUR INTERNSHIP?

  You’ll expand the customer base for Botanopia internationally ( our focus areas are the Netherlands, Germany, France, Belgium, The USA and the UK)

Lead generation: you’ll identify suitable potential B2B partners and qualify them.

You’ll contact new and existing leads to turn them into customers, and you’ll generate more repeat sales through great customer service.

You will be responsible for increasing, following up, and maintaining our leads (B2B and B2C) and partnerships (B2B).

You’ll accompany us on international trade shows and help prepare relevant sales material (pandemic willing…)

You’ll help create email marketing sequences (series of pre-programmed emails) for both new leads and existing customers and measure their impact.

You’ll support daily operations & identify new leads, trends, and opportunities, including through social media.

You assist the marketing team with the social media strategy, influencer marketing, and affiliate program. 

You’ll help translate our sales material into the languages relevant to you.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

You study sales, business or marketing

You’re available full time (40hrs/week) 

You are fluent in English written and verbally + one other language (FR, NL or DE). You can write with ease, including texts that will make our customers tick.

You can handle responsibility and feel responsible for the complete B2B process;

You are customer friendly and are willing to go the extra mile to service our clients;

It’s a plus if you have experience/affinity with plants and sustainable products in general

You’re flexible, can get things done and can take initiative.

You are independent, committed, and ready to put your theoretical knowledge from your studies into action for real customers.

You’re not afraid to pick up the phone or film a little sales video/ad
