We’re always open to talented interns joining our team to get hands on experience in the field of Product/Graphics design and Marketing/Communication.

Marketing & Communication Intern

As a marketing and communication intern, you help develop our communication strategy and content for our retail clients but also the many stores and business owners that distribute our products. We are most active on instagram (@botanopia_) but also via newsletters and during professional trade shows.

We’re looking for a dynamic and motivated student, very confident with words and images and with affinity for our field (design/plants). You can write with an informal tone, and communicate our passion for plants, knowledge sharing, and inspiring others to grow all kinds of plants.

You’re at ease with Photoshop and Illustrator, and know your way behind a camera. Video editing experience is a plus.

If you are a marketing or communication student interested to apply for an internship for a minimum of 2 months, send your CV and portfolio by email.

Product/Graphic Design intern

The studio is focussing on small edition interior products in ceramics, textiles and wood, produced in the Netherlands. As an intern at the studio you will get to experience the entire range of operations from the first idea to final product on store shelves.

During your internship you can expect to learn or develop the following skills, based on your interest and goals:

  • prototyping and form study in a variety of materials, mostly analog, sometimes in 3D software
  • production of ceramics, including mold-making, glaze development, slip-casting and firing
  • packaging and product photography
  • the business side of running a small design studio, client meetings, pricing of products, setting up quotes and invoices, pitching products to editors, wholesale accounts and more

If you are a product, graphic design or ceramics student interested to apply for an internship for a minimum of 2 months, send your CV and portfolio by email.

Transport/Logistics Intern

As a transport and logistics intern, you will assist with the preparation of shipments for our products to small and big retailers alike, from nearby flower shops to the warehouse of big retail giants such as Urban Outfitters. You get excited about corrugated cardboard, barcodes and shipping labels and manage to stay calm when calling the customer service of the shipping provider that has just lost one of the packages AGAIN (we think this might qualify as a superpower).

  • You are a problem-solver, eager to research solutions to new challenges, identifying inefficiencies in our current system and suggesting improvements
  • You can work accurately and reliably on shipping documents involving technical terms in English
  • You can work together with our customer care team to insure smooth deliveries to all clients, and find customer-centered solutions when issues arise
  • You can independently dive in the world of HS codes, export limitations and rules, and all the challenges involved with shipping live plants across the globe
  • You’re interested in seamlessly integrating the customer journey on our online store with the physical journey of the goods in transit to deliver a great user experience from the first click to the opening of the package

You’re capable of working in a team but also carry on independent research and present your conclusions to the rest of the team. You are resourceful and can look for the relevant experts in the field to help answering your questions. You have a good command of written and spoken English.

If you are a logistics or international commerce student interested to apply for an internship for a minimum of 2 months, send your CV and cover letter by email.
